TEKS 1. (2E) Audience: 1st grade Behavior: recognize place value when using counting rods Condition: Students do this by identifying specific numbers in number rod form. To do this, the students must be able to recognize how many 10's and 1's there are in a number. I would use this as the independent practice part of a lesson once my students have a good grasp on place value.
