Usain Bolt. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Jamaican sprinter broke the world and Olympic records in both the 100-meter and 200-meter events. He also set a 4×100-meter relay record with the Jamaican team, making him the first man to win three sprinting events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984.
Equestrian Hiroshi Hoketsu, 70, of Japan qualified for his fourth Olympic games in dressage. If Japan sends him, he will be the oldest competitor in that event, at the age of 71. He was also the eldest at the Beijing games in 2008. He won't be the oldest Olympian ever, that goes to Oscar Swahn of Sweden, who competed in rifle at the age of 72.
