Indo-Persian yataghan/yatagan, lobed pommel usually associated with North Africa, probably Algeria, this type will usually have rhino horn hilt grips. This is a short specimen, more of a long knife than a sword, but with typical features, blade marked with a maker stamp. Rhino horn grips with silver grip strap and bolsters. Scabbard covered with fabric at its central part and mounted with big locket and chape. Total length 20 inches, 14 inch blade.
