He made his acting debut at the age of 3, and is best known as Uncle Bill from T.V.'s "A Family Affair". He was, however, most often cast in rugged, masculine roles. Remained an active Catholic all his life, but severe suffering from cancer/chemotherapy, grief from his daughter's suicide, and other issues overwhelmed him and he committed suicide. Received a Catholic funeral.
