Painting faux brinks on to concrete: I bought a run-of-the mill sponge from Wal-Mart (auto department) and cut it in the shape of a brick. Then I used some red wood stain leftover from the previous owners. Are you kidding me right now??? This looks AMAZING!!!

Brick wall capping example: I like the look of this wall and especially the capping. I'd like the wall to have some element so that the top wasn't all one straight line. I'm not necessarily in favor of the columns with finials shown here though, so need some more ideas in this regard.
