Buddy holly wife

Buddy Holly and wife María Elena on their wedding day, August 15, 1958. He asked her out two weeks after she started work as a receptionist for music publisher Peermusic. She had never been out on a date and told Holly he would have to ask her aunt for permission. Holly promptly got her aunt's permission. Five hours into their first date, Buddy handed a rose to Maria and asked her to marry him. They were married less than two months later, in Buddy's hometown of Lubbock, Texas.

Buddy Holly Peggy Sue 1950 First time I heard Buddy sing was several years after his death. My brother had the record and I swiped it, still have it. I was into the Beatles and the Stones, but Buddy was a hold different can of beans. Love that sound.
