THE CHOP SHOP 66 Haymarket, Piccadilly, SW1Y 4RF At the Chop Shop you will eat a lot of meat. There are plenty of steaks, grilled to smokey perfection. Try the cottage pasta pie and cured meats. For our veggie friends there are options such as the polenta, which came with rosemary-braised wild mushrooms and parmigiano. After dinner, we admired the exposed brick interior and array of knives sticking out of the wall. A nice touch.
Mr Leopold Bloom ate with relish the inner organs of beasts and fowls. He liked thick giblet soup, nutty gizzards, a stuffed roast heart, liverslices fried with crustcrumbs, fried hencods' roes. Most of all he liked grilled mutton kidneys which gave to his palate a fine tang of faintly scented urine. Ulysses | James Joyce
