Cape Cod #ASL #MVSL "Martha's Vineyard, an island five miles off the southeastern shore of Massachusetts in the U.S., is notable for its history of the majority of sign language users. The population on the Martha's Vineyard island in the 18th century had a high rate of deaf heredity. Almost all inhabitants, both deaf and hearing, knew an indigenous signed language, called Martha's Vineyard Sign Language (MVSL)." see: http://www.handspeak.com/study/index.php?id=63
✮ Cape Cod Cranberry Bog in the Fall My home town Sandwich, MA (13th gen Mayflower descendant-Harlow & Howland) is unbelievable in the fall. In my opinion the best time to visit the Cape. Room rates drop, still warm enough to sight-see, more locals then tourists and LESS TRAFFIC!
