5 minute Candied Walnuts: 1 cup nuts 1/4 cup white granulated sugar 1 Tbsp butter 1 tsp vanilla optional -heat medium pan to medium heat, add everything, stir for 5 min, until sugar is melted and nuts are coated, and then spread and separate nuts (quickly) on parchment paper and cool 5 min.
Honey Walnut Shrimp This may be one of the first items that EVERYONE here would eat without any changes. Next time I will double and use larger shrimp. . . It is a lot of work to dredge and fry smaller shrimp.
Caramelizing may sound scary, but it’s pretty darn easy, and once you get the technique down, you can caramelize any nut to your heart’s content. They’re great on salads, on top of desserts, or just to snack on!
