Maple Cinnamon Chamomile Tea Latte (Vegan) | Inspired by a chamomile tea latte from my long weekend in NYC this past Fall. My version uses maple syrup as the sweetener and a homemade cashew milk base. It pairs perfectly with a cookie (or two) for dunking. @Pickles & Honey
CHAMOMILE & PEACH ICED TEA Makes 2 cups INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon chamomile tea (I used a chamomile blend called Gentle Blossom from Tealia.) 1 ripe peach, diced 1 cup ice 1 cup cold water optional: peach slices for serving
I’ve been drinking this Chamomile Tea Latte every time I want a non-caffeinated drink. The cloves and vanilla extract add a nice depth of flavor and the froth created from the French press creates the perfect texture.
Chamomile was often used as a remedy for nausea, diarrhea, gas, anxiety, fevers, asthma, colic and a host of other conditions. Most often, it was taken as a hot tea. For skin conditions such as hemorrhoids it was used topically.
