Charles F. Bolden, Jr.(born August 19, 1946) is the current administrator of NASA. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1968 and served as a U.S. Marine aviator and test pilot before joining NASA's astronaut corps in 1980. He returned to the Marine Corps in 1994, retiring 10 years later as a Major General. On August 28, 2012 he became the first human being to have his voice broadcast on Mars. #TodayInBlackHistory
