Charles Bukowski: Pulp (1994). Without doubt one of the best, funniest, craziest books I've ever read.
The first Bukowski book I ever read, and easily my favorite. It's deceptively casual in prose and plot, but it's a novel that will stay with you long after you finish the tragically hilarious final chapter.

I've always imagined that Bukowski, as a young boy, looked like "Dewey" from Malcom In the Middle.
