The Classic Christmas Cake. I hadn't made a Christmas cake since high school (a verrrryyy long time ago!) Found this recipe and the cake turned out beautifully. Make around a month before Christmas and feed it with brandy every couple of days, alternating top and bottom of cake. Delicious! EASY CHRISTMAS CAKE RECIPE I used whiskey instead of brandy. I also added vanilla essence and extra mixed spice. I did not fold as it was too time consuming. Instead I used my hands to mix everything together. Delicious!
The best cake in the world: Nigella's Boiled Fruit Cake. I make it every Christmas (but I ice mine with a lavish marzipan layer and top it off with the thinest, thinest covering of royal icing)... mmmm!
