This floor cleaner got the grime out of our 25-year-old linoleum. Dissolve 1/4 cup baking soda in 2 gal. warm water. Add 1 Tbsp. dish soap and 1/4 cup white vinegar.

Cleaning linoleum floors. Oven cleaner with lye. Spray and let set for a minute or so.... Scrub (not hard) with a brush and wipe clean with wet rag.

To Clean Old Linoleum... Avoid alkaline-based cleaners (Mr.Clean, etc.). Instead, mix chlorine bleach & water; Let it set for 30-45 minutes. More aged and damaged linoleum may need a dry powder (ex: Ajax) and bleach. Scour; Rinse with cool water; then Neutralize the bleach with 1 part vinegar to 1 gallon water; Repeat steps if needed. Try a test patch first. When done, use a permanent sealer to prevent further yellowing.
