Lemon (citrus limonum) is refreshing and cooling and its key function is to strengthen the immune system. It is useful for easing varicose veins, and can lower blood pressure. Lemon oil is also excellent for muscular aches and pains, colds, sore throats, oily skin and hair.
Dying Lemons with Food Coloring (Myth or Fact???) Unfortunately, these are both Photoshopped and as real as the below picture. But don't let that dampen your spirits! I HAD to give this myth a try, and I found that there is still a way to dye lemons with food coloring. Just not as vibrantly. And NOT the whole lemon!
I soaked lemon slices overnight two nights before the party in water tinted with 5 - 6 drops of food coloring, then froze the slices overnight after that to make colorful lemons to float in the punch. I used neon food coloring so they were quite bright!
