Matilda of Flanders (c. 1031 – 2 November 1083), daughter of Count Baldwin V of Flanders, was the wife (and distant cousin) of William the Conqueror and, as such, Queen consort of the Kingdom of England. She bore William ten children (4 sons and 6 daughters), including two kings, William II and Henry I. She gave the Bayeux Tapestry to Caen Abbey.
