Coraline

Coraline by Neil Gaiman, with beautiful illustrations by Chris Riddell. I named one of my cats Coraline because I love this story.

Book Review: Coraline by Neil Gaiman

Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I just finished it. Different to the movie. This surprised me, it wasn't as good as I thought it was. Now, I said it wasn't as good as I thought it would be, that doesn't mean it wasn't good. It's not as detailed or as scary as I hoped it would be. However, bare in mind, it is a children's novel. I enjoyed it though, nevertheless.

Wistful, witty, and wiseand creepy. . . . Closer in tone to American Gods than to Coraline , but permeated with Bods innocence, this needs to be read by anyone who is or has ever been a child. Kirkus

Coraline... Beautiful adaptation. I actually like the film better than the book. The art direction/ concept art is gorgeous.
