We're on the high seas with this sea worthy broadside written out and illustrated by calligrapher Hella Basu (1924-1980). This is a poem by Ebenezer Elliott, the Corn Law Rhymer (1781-1849). Basu was born in Kassel, Germany, emigrating to England in 1950. She lived in the city of Hull where she was a lecturer in graphic arts at Hull College.
