I grew up eating my Mama's stewed potatoes, and didn't know it was a Southern thing. This is not potato soup. It's something delicious, and very different. Served with cornbread and black-eyed peas, stewed potatoes were a real treat from any old Southerner’s proper childhood.

Just a heads up--these are VERY bland. You're going to have to work some magic on them. I would recommend some garlic salt more butter I would slowly add the sour cream and maybe not the whole 16 oz suggested and more cheese. Just so you know :D
