The branding and collateral has been designed to reflect a refined, cultured aesthetic that is also approachable and engaging. Through the development of my analysis I then created six drawings which illustrate the connection between todays presence and yesterday’s forgotten elements. Hand drawings are from what I found on my movement through site which consist of warped signs, exposed manhole covers and cut off I-beams etc. These then formed a connection with the old plans of the train station which were acquired through the local archive systems. Photographer Matthew Cetta does too, and he’s actually spent quite some time finding out. Cetta has been doing experiments through a project called “Photogenic Alchemy,” creating toy camera photos with wild aesthetics by developing the films with all kinds of random things — everything from lemon juice to Pepto Bismol.
