    I'll still soak over night but then pressure cooking would be for 15 mins or so. I find I get lots of infused flavour with my pressure cooker

    A little bleach should get it out the plastic and crock. I actually prefer to pressure cook mine :)

Crock Pot Ham Bone and Beans from Food.com: Many variations to Ham Bone (or Hocks) and beans but this is pretty much how I remember it from my childhood. I find by not soaking the beans they have better texture and flavor.I use Great Northern Beans as my favorite choice of bean for this recipe. I have used 15 bean mix with good results just omit the ham flavor packet.

    This was delicious with our leftover Christmas ham bone! Use the low sodium chicken broth, I added 1/2 broth and 1/2 water to make 8 cups liquid. I also added about 1/2 t. Cumin, a couple of dashes of smoked paprika, and a few dashes of Rosemary and thyme. Yummy!
