Dancer in the Dark. I absolutely LOVE Bjork and she's one of the most inspiring women I can think of. I have this on DVD but I haven't gotten round to watching it yet, but I can't wait to now. I remember this having amazing reviews when it came out. And apparently I should watch it on my own with a box of tissues!
“The male protagonists in my films are basically all idiots who don’t understand shit. Whereas the women are much more human, and much more real. It’s the women I identify with in all my films.” - Lars von Trier
*Dancer in the Dark. Bjork was quoted saying she would never make another film again because of the emotional toll "Dancer" took on her...she was precious, vulnerable, humble, loving, and heart-breaking. One of the most beautiful and tragic films ever made.*
