The Burdock plant is related to the Dandelion and Echinacea family. The seeds, greens and roots were used by the ancient Greeks as a medicine to heal many common ailments. The root is mainly used in today’s Burdock health supplements.
most plants we consider ‘weeds’ are actually medicinal herbs; nettle, lambs quarter, chrysanthemum, all growing in radiant abundance together with the plants we eat for sustenance! But dandelions especially amaze me. Among many other uses, it is of the most effective detoxifying herbs on this planet.
