New TV Series Shows The Lives And Deaths Of The Terminally Ill

Among the tales of sorrow and of ruin that come down to us from the darkness of those days there are yet some in which amid weeping there is joy and under the shadow of death light that endures. And of these histories most fair still in the ears of the Elves is the tale of Beren and Lúthien. --J.R.R. Tolkien. Luthien Dancing, by Ted Nasmith

Two badass immortal witch/vampires, we should add, and Matt is somehow still human. #TVD 7x16 "Days of Future Past"

Morena is the Baltic & Slavic goddess of witchcraft, winter & death. She is also associated with seasonal rites based on the idea of death, rebirth of nature & nightmares. The end of winter is celebrated by throwing an effigy of Morena into the river on the first spring day in March. Some medieval Christian sources such as the Czech 9th century Mater Verborum compare her to the Greek goddess Hecate, therefore associating her even more with sorcery.
