A sight/site stumbled upon in down-town Liverpool. The fragmentary hand-bills pasted up evoke several worlds. They speak of the world of music, of Liverpool, and of tempting possibilities suggested by random words: ‘frock off’; ‘orgy’. This image has been used as the cover for a book on the topic of ‘community’, and has been the stimulus for a poem. There is no single way to read the image: it is a sort of fluid acrostic with no clearly defined sight lines.
