One problem which I'm afraid has not yet been fully resolved is the matter of payment of wages. There has been plenty of publicity about the Novopay scheme so I need only recap briefly on the effect it has had on this school. Sadly, four of our best teachers simply had to resign after 10 weeks of no wages, but it is nice to catch up with them in their new jobs at the check-out counters.

I plan to obtain my degree in clinical social work. I desire to specialize in helping troubled teens. I want to work in the juvenile detention centers. I made many mistakes in my life. Mistakes can be the greatest asset in change. They can be a learning tool to get life back on the right path. I hope to help these teens see that their current situation doesn't have to define them or condemn them to a life incarcerated. If only one turns their life around, then it was worth it.
