Too many people forget "Judge not lest ye be judged" Matthew 7:1 I don't understand how people justify judging others, especially their feelings. We are all entitled to our opinions and feelings and no one has the right to condemn anyone else for what they feel or think.

I pin this for awareness and understanding. I think every family member, friend, and caregiver needs to read this. Do not let mental illness define your opinion of your friend or loved one. That is not who they are. You would not condemn or judge someone for having cancer. The same recognition, support, compassion, and respect should apply to persons who are mentally ill. IMO.


I plan to obtain my degree in clinical social work. I desire to specialize in helping troubled teens. I want to work in the juvenile detention centers. I made many mistakes in my life. Mistakes can be the greatest asset in change. They can be a learning tool to get life back on the right path. I hope to help these teens see that their current situation doesn't have to define them or condemn them to a life incarcerated. If only one turns their life around, then it was worth it.
