TEACHING DIVISION~ To help conquer long division, give each student a paper clip, and review the steps of long division. When it’s time to work, have each child write the simple division acronym “DMSB” for “Divide, Multiply, Subtract, Bring Down” on her paper and place the paper clip on the D. When the student completes a step, she moves her paper clip to the next letter and solves the next step.
The Delphi method is based on the idea that group judgements are more valid than individual judgements. Experts answer questions in rounds; a facilitator provides an anonymous summary of each round and the participants' rationales. Experts may revise their answers based on the summaries. The range of answers gradually decreases and the group converges toward the "correct" answer.
