Alamo Square after the Earthquake
This is the now-famous "postcard row" of houses at Alamo Square in San Francisco, as it looked on April 18, 1906, a few hours after the Great Earthquake struck at 5:06 am.
San Francisco de Asis - Dolores Mission founded by Fray Francisco Palou in 1776. This is oldest structure in heart of San Francisco & 6th of CA missions. Mission survived great San Francisco earthquake & fire. Now called Dolores it serves community as it did in past. Mission built entirely of wood & adobe brick, massive columns are also made of wood & adobe brick.
