This is a recipe my entire family loves! Its requested at least once a week and for Birthday suppers. The recipe came from the mother of one of my childhood friends, who made some of the best food. If Im making a double batch, I make it with cream of chicken and celery soups together.
Ingredients: 6 oz. egg noodles (wide or extra wide), cooked* 1 small can of tuna, drained and flaked with a fork 1 can cream of mushroom soup ½ cup milk ½ cup (or more) grated sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup fresh bread crumbs cooked in 1 T. butter until slightly crisp
Campbell's Tuna Noodle Casserole: 1 can mushroom soup, 1/2c milk, 1c frozen peas, 10oz can drained tuna, 2c hot cooked egg noodles, then...1T dry bread crumbs, 1.4t butter. In 3qt casserole, bake at at 400F for 30 min, adding butter and crumb topping afterward for 5 min more.
