Eyeglass lenses can take plenty of abuse, but even with a scratch-resistant coating, accidents do happen. A few basic household supplies allow you to forgo a trip to the repair shop so that you can fix the scratch yourself.
Canadian artists Caitlind r.c. Brown and Wayne Garrett have created sea/see/saw, a temporary kinetic sculpture made from 14,000 used eyeglass lenses, that was commission for the 10th Anniversary of the Pera Museum in Istanbul, Turkey.
