Boudicca (aka Boadicea), Queen of the Iceni tribe, is famous for having led an uprising against the occupying force of the Roman Empire in AD 60/61 and legend has it she and her tribe of warriors wore a cobalt #blue paint on their skin, which gave them a ferocious and mythical look when advancing into battle. #color
Dylan Thomas. Famous Welsh poet and writer. He caught the attention of the literary world in 1934 with 'Light breaks where no sun shines'. Some of his great works 'And death shall have no dominion' and 'Do not go gentle into that good night'. In 1953 he became gravely ill and sadly died at the young age of 39 in New York.

Joan spent a happy childhood living in France, until in 1205 her father decided that he would marry her to the Welsh Prince, Llywelyn Lord of Snowdon (who was to become known as Llywelyn the Great) in the hope of restoring peace with Wales.
