pour 2 cups of CLUB SODA directly in the center of an ant mound. The carbon dioxide in the water is heavier than air and displaces oxygen which suffocates the queen and the other ants. The whole colony will be dead within about two days. Each mound must be treated individually and a one liter bottle of club soda will kill 2 to 3 mounds.../ # Pin++ for Pinterest #
Mix 1 1⁄2 oz of orange essential oil, 3 oz of liquid dish soap and 1 gallon of water. This will kill all ants that come into contact with it, and will continue to work over several hours/days. To get rid of ants, put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it or take it home to the others. They can’t digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works and you don’t have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!
