The first battle of Panipat was actually the event that marked the end of the Lodhi dynasty and the beginning of the Mughal dynasty in India.
Kabuli Bagh Mosque, Panipat, Haryana Panipat is an ancient and historic city in Panipat district, Haryana state. Three battles fought in the city were turning points in Indian history. The First battle of Panipat ended the 'Lodi Rule' in Delhi. The Second battle of Panipat thus ended the 'Hindu Raj' in north India, albeit for a short period. The third battle led to a power vacuum which later led to the British conquest of India.
