DIY flea treatment! I found this and tried it. Just take a spray bottle, put in 1/2 tea spoon of salt, add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix 4oz of warm water and 8oz of apple cider vinegar. Once the apple cider vinegar and water is mixed, SLOWLY pour it into the spray bottle with the salt and baking soda already in it. Make sure to pour slowly, it will react. Spray on carpets, furniture, stuffed toys and pets. Be careful not to get it in pets eyes. Works like a charm! by jana
RID YOUR DOG OF FLEAS RECIPE; Ingredients: 1 cup Dawn dish detergent (for smell and fleas) 1 cup white distilled vinegar 1 quart water Mix it all together! That's it! Be careful not to get it in your dog's eyes though, it will burn. I literally saw the fleas falling off him, dead, when I was rinsing him off. Love love love it. I don't think I'll ever buy dog shampoo again! Remember to start at the neck so the fleas will not run to the face.
A friend told us about a method is very effective. 1 gallon of water, add 4 to 6 teasoons of white vinegar to it, and give it to your pets as their only drinking water. We havn't seen a flea in over ten years. It works on any animal. We have a dog (7yo) that has never seen a flea. Commercial flea preparations are bad for the health of our pets AND US!! I am going to try this. I imagine it sours the blood? We will see! I hate Chemical treatments!!!
