Pictured above is the family of Henry Fonda and his second wife, Frances Ford Seymour (seated). The children are Frances “Pan” Brokaw (the oldest, standing), Frances Ford Seymour’s daughter from a previous marriage to George Tuttle Brokaw. The younger children are Jane and Peter Fonda.
Frances Ford Seymour (1908 - 1950) was a Canadian socialite, the second wife of actor Henry Fonda and the mother of actors Jane Fonda and Peter Fonda. Frances Ford Seymour suffered from mental illness and committed suicide by cutting her throat with a razor on her 42nd birthday while in the Craig House Sanitarium for insane in Beacon, New York
