The ongoing fall lecture series hosted by the Friends of the Library is continuing this week with a presentation by Amanda Owens, an osteologist.

The Library Board of Trustees, along with the Friends of the Library and Staff, invite the community to join us in celebrating Mary Fiorelli, Retiring Director. The sale will open with a preview evening for Friends of the James V. Brown Library on Thursday, September 18 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Membership forms will be available at the door. Doors will be open to the general public from 9 am to 7 pm on Friday, September 19 and from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, September 20. Pine Street Methodist Church, 441 Pine St.

The thousands of used books, magazines, and videos sold in Rothrock and at the library’s annual used-book sale are under the sole management of Friends of the Library, about a hundred of whom are volunteers. Our efforts add thousands of much-needed dollars to the library’s annual operating budget.
