Loew's 46th St. Theater, Borough Park, NY - first opened on October 9th, 1927 with more than 25,000 people in line to fit into the 3,000 seat theater. Some even climbed the fire escape outside to get just a peek inside. The theater closed down in 1973. The lobby and part of the ground floor is currently a furniture store - the rest is forgotten. Above is the abandoned orchestra level, filled with upholstered dining chars and mattresses from the store. (credit: Abandoned NYC)
