The one with the orange eyes was done with 2 PVC and joints wrapped in some thin foam padding, then wrapped with black burlap.  I took pipe cleaners and stapled them all over the legs to look like hairs.  I made the body by wrapping grocery bags together and taping them to the wood support for the legs.  I then wrapped the body in burlap.

You rang? Heheh...I'm honored you asked my advice. Love the spider so far. The thorax is looking extremely scary and the pipe cleaners are such a cool touch. In regards to the head.... I've always loved Dark Raven Designs style of spider's head:  The focus is on the legs and abdomen. The head being so small is (to me) what makes it much more scary, realistic...yet foreign. Your eyes focus on the abdomen (because of the yellow markings and sheer size) then the evil looking th
