I've been thinking about creative ways for my kids to get the "wiggles" out, especially BOYS. :) Once we learn about verbs, maybe have a huge selection of fun action verbs (like the ones here) for the kids to choose to act out, maybe even as a prize for being good.
The 'Writing Desk' - printable worksheets to staple inside 2 overlapping manilla folders. Filled with tons of great ideas like: common spelling errors, punctuation, transition words, publishing checklist, editing errors, rubric, etc.
incorporate these into my phonics word wall and discuss words that are decodable in order to reinforce word attack skills. My students have always been taught sight reading so don't have decoding skills. Very limiting!!
