BATTLESHIP 1927, Son of Man o' War - Quarantine. 55 starts, 24 wins, 10 placings. The only horse to win both the Grand National in 1938 and the American Grand National in 1934. Entered the US Racing Hall of Fame in 1969. Small in stature at only 15.1hh, he began racing on the flat and changed to the jumps in 1933. Retired to stud in the US after the Grand National in 1938, he sired only 58 foals. He died in 1958 aged 31. Hall of Fame 1969
