MGM Grand Lions - one of my favorite experiences in Vegas was holding a lion cub, Nugget, at the MGM Grand. If you love animals, especially big cats, well worth standing in line and the price of admission for a few minutes to do this!
With less than 20,000 left in the wild, lions are fighting disease, loss of habitat, changing habitat from climate change, and poaching for trade in their parts. But perhaps most egregiously, on top of all these threats, wealthy hunters from abroad -- mostly from America -- travel to Africa for the "thrill" of slaying a wild lion and bringing their kill home as a trophy.
Abyssinian Kitten - The Abyssinian is one of the oldest breeds of pedigree cat and was one of those exhibited at the very first cat show held at the Crystal Palace in 1871. It is generally agreed that this breed originated in Egypt, and certainly the ticked coat pattern would have been the perfect camouflage for wild cats living in the dry, scrubby North African habitat.
Those eyes beautiful black panther. Fun fact: Black panthers can adapt to any climatic condition and survive both cold and warm environment. This is the reason why they have been able to survive even after the endangerment of their habitats by rapid deforestation and extreme hunting.
