Orion's Nebula - Astronomer Igor Chekalin decided to process this image to emphasize the relatively cool dust, which reflects starlight, rather than the hot hydrogen gas, which emits its own light. (See a high-resolution Hubble picture of Orion.)
mars's ground ~ at times it even snows, martian snowflakes are made of carbon dioxide rather than water & thought to be about the size of red blood cells, atmosphere is too thin to easily support life as we know it + is too cold for liquid water to exist for any length of time, dust that covers the surface is fine like talcum powder, beneath that layer of dust, the martian crust consists mostly of volcanic basalt rock, the centre likely has a solid core composed of iron, nickel, sulfur.
Esta es la imagen del día de la NASA. Se trata de IC 5070, a la que popularmente conocemos como la Nebulosa del Pelícano. Está a unos 2.000 años-luz de distancia del Sistema Solar, en la constelación del Cisne. #astronomia #ciencia
