Love this idea!! Instead of "banned," just have students line up with their favorite book.

Fun fact:their favorite book is usually banned.

Last January, I attended a workshop at our regional education service center. One of the sessions was about genre-fying your library, presented by a local high school librarian. The librarian told us about how she genre-fied her fiction section and the enormous increase in circulation her library saw as a result. Her enthusiasm and simple step-by-step instructions inspired me to do it myself.

  • Valerie Park

I teach at this school and this was a great project for our art classes! Kids loved this and I even got to create one! (Winterfell) So weird I stumbled across your pin!

  • Lady Stephanie

Please do. Your wall is what brought it to my attention. I love that she credited her inspirations but her and her collaborators put their own touch to the project. It is wonderful!

  • yucaree

That's the high school in the district I work in (and the HS I graduated from!). I'll let the librarian there know you liked it enough to pin! ;)
