Homework can be the worst. It undermines everything we do to even the playing field at school. Some kids have no homework help, while other parents request even more than you give. It was a no win situation...until now. Homework BINGO is a differentiated approach to making homework meaningful and accessible to all students. Best of all it adds some fun and challenge! An easy, print-and-go format (including a size perfect for gluing into journals) makes the stress of homework melt away.
Homework bingo - If they turn in their homework for that morning they get to write their name on any square. On friday's I will pull out two bingo chips...and whatever names are on that square they will be able to pick out of the treasure box.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT~ Students write their names in a spot when caught doing something positive/good. At the end of day, or when the board is full, roll two dice and the student in the coordinating spot gets a treat or chooses the class reward
reading log, cute idea, have students do twice a year (once a semester) parents sign off once they are done with that box, when they get their first "bingo" pick a prize, when they get a "blackout" do something else special.
