An ocean wave, laden with oil & toxic dispersants, from the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Is technology simultaneously improving our lives & destroying the planet? IS the solution to pollution, dilution, or, is it possible to break our planet's oceans? These are difficult questions to answer, but the direction the human race must swiftly move in, is painfully obvious when this image crosses ones vision for the future. NO OFFSHORE DRILLING, THE CONSEQUENCES ARE DIRE.
The Deepwater Horizon was an offshore drilling unit with the ability to drill down to 30,000 feet. On April 20, 2010, while drilling an exploratory well, the rig exploded, killing eleven workers and set the stage to release 4.9 million barrels of oil that devastated the area around the Gulf of Mexico.
