An old human hip bone from Spain has been found to be almost 400,000 years old, the oldest recorded so far (with human DNA showing up only until about 200,000 years ago before). Rather than having DNA similar to Neanderthal, it has actually closer marks to Denisovans. Denisovans lived in Siberia and Asia, thereby making a surprising discovery as to the location of the bone in Spain where more of Neanderthal bones have been found. Scientists are unsure of how to explain this.
