Thanks to Aaron Hamilton at #aerochildtattoo downtown bahm, I have some new ink! It's a silver fern leaf with Koru symbols in the leaf. Koru is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace. It is an integral symbol in Māori art. Some other legit māori finish off the top of the piece. I'm stoked!! So thanks again Aaron!! #newink #maoritattoo #newzealand #koru #kiakaha #❤ #tattedup

koru The koru (Māori for "loop"[1]) is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace.[2] It is an integral symbol in Māori art, carving and tattoos. The circular shape of the koru helps to convey the idea of perpetual movement while the inner coil suggests a return to the point of origin.

My company's logo and name: 'Steer' is because the term 'branding' originated in marking cattle, to differentiate them. 'Saffron' is the colour of the dawn and is about new opportunities and growth. The horns represent integration of all brand development efforts and, secondarily also plays on the symbol of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine.

Integral symbol The ∫ symbol is used to denote the integral in mathematics. The notation was introduced by the German mathematician Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz towards the end of the 17th century. The symbol was based on the ſ (long s) character, and was chosen because Leibniz thought of the integral as an infinite sum of infinitesimal summands.

"The Ware Residential Commons crest is made up of three distinct symbols. The first being the integral symbol on the left side of the crest... The next symbol was the infinity symbol on the right... The two symbols were then put together in one representation of the Infinite Integral, which is the official symbol of Ware Residential Commons." Follow the link to read the rest!
