Science articles make great science sub plans, but finding reliable and interesting articles on the internet or in periodicals is very time consuming. Formatting online articles to fit a printed page can also be challenging and can often waste time and paper.
STEM-Works is a free resource for K-12 teachers, mentors, parents, STEM professionals, volunteers, and everyone passionate about getting children eager to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math. Content is organized into high-interest subjects. Within each subject, users can access related articles, educational events, activities, interviews and advocacy opportunities.
Last school year, I made drastic changes in my classroom management system. Due to a schoolwide initiative, my behavior “clip chart” system ended, and in turn, school rules were replaced with a language that promoted growth mindset. I was determined to epitomize this with my students and end hearing
