12/18/80 John Lennon walked to his limo, approached for autographs by several people, one being Mark David Chapman, 25-year-old security guard. Lennon signed then asked, "Is this all you want?" Chapman smiled & nodded in agreement. Photographer Paul Goresh took this photo of the encounter. Chapman than waited for Lennon's return mid-morning and fired 5 hollow-point bullets into Lennon's back.
