The Jonestown Massacre, Remembered

James Warren "Jim" Jones November 18, 1978 was the founder and the leader of the Peoples Temple, best known for the cult murder/suicide 909 of its members in Jonestown, Guyana, and the murder of five individuals at a nearby airstrip. Over 200 children were murdered at Jonestown, almost all of them by cyanide poisoning in grape koolaid. Jones died from a gunshot wound to the head.


The Brian Jonestown Massacre is an American psychedelic rock band formed in San Francisco in 1988. The band output spans folk rock, blues rock, acid rock, shoegazing, electronica, and experimental rock.
